 I am on the mini pill but i saw someone talking about this earlier.

maybe its just me but i sure as hell do not want a tiny rod implanted into my arm so that i wont get pregnant.

shove something up my va jay jay all you want but you will not be slicing anything open or shoving anything into my body! bleh!

lol.  It's really small and it is like a rubbery material, not painful or anything (so I'm told!)  It's like 99.9+% effective too!

they have to slice you open to insert it tho dont they? i dont get how it works.. like puts hormones into your blood stream or something?

the thought just grosses me out!

Its actually so thin that it is injected into your arm. It is a pretty big needle but your arm is numbed first.

Do you feel the same way about the IUD? That is pushed in through your cervix.

This.  The doc said it's similar to when they put the IV into you at the hospital, they insert that thing into you, that is apparently what it feels like.  It goes in for up to 3 years, you can take it out whenever you want.  Right when you take it out you are fertile again and become pregnant within a week.

I suck at taking pills. IUD for me!! (how weird that I was able to remember my PN vitamin everyday but not BCP. hmm

I have the same problem .. that's how I was blessed with my beautiful DS!

FYI:  The hormones in the pill enter your bloodstream, too, as do most other medications.  That stuff can't exactly do its job from inside your stomach.
