XP: Umbrella stroller suitable for a 4-5 month old?

I'm wondering if anyone know of, or if anyone has a smaller compact umbrella type stroller that I can put my DD in (she'll be 5 months old when we need to use it).

Most of them I've been looking at say they either need to be 6 months old, or being able to sit up unassisted...right now my DD can't sit up unassisted, and probably won't be able to by 5 months.

Thanks.

  • I don't post a lot, but since I just made a similar purchase I thought I'd share!

I bought the Joovy Kooper....it's semi-compact when it's folded (I'm not sure how compact you need it to be) and even though it states for 6 months and up, my DD has no issues sitting in it and she can't sit unassisted either.

It has an AWESOME canopy and it reclines, so DD's size really wasn't an issue! I do put a head support in it to keep her head from bobbing from side to side when she sleeps, but so far we love it!

Also, it runs $179 at BRU and other stores, but I found it on Amazon for $149 with free shipping. (as long as you don't mind the red color)

  • DD couldn't sit up unassisted when we put her in her umbrella stroller, it has belts and a back to it so it supported her just fine.  It was just a cheapy from target.
  • We have a Peg Perego Aria and it reclines almost flat and has a harness, so it shoudl work.  DS was around 5 mo. when we started using it.
