Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Do you use your playpen?

I rarely do because I feel like I am putting him in baby jail or something, but I think I am going to have to start to use it on a regular basis.  I just cannot get anything done with him trying to get into EVERYTHING!!

Re: Do you use your playpen?

  • Now that he is mobile, I have been using it when I need to go to the bathroom or get something done really quick without worrying about him getting into things he shouldn't. I don't ever put him in it just for the heck of it though.

  • Yes. Now that he's mobile, it's nice to have a safe place to put him if I need to do something or just need a break. He plays well in there, and I like having it in the main living area where I can keep an eye on him.

  • Yup, I put her in her playpen. It keeps her from getting into things she shouldn't and lets me do things around the house and use the bathroom every so often too. She's usually fairly happy in it, rarely she'll fuss for me to come get her out.
  • we just bought one for naps, i'm sure we will use it for her to sit in when she becomes mobile too.
  • DD will not sit in the pnp for more than 15 min (and that's on a good day)
  • No it stays folded up in the closet so that we have it to take to FIL house for visits.
  • Never.  It has now become my older son's timeout place.

It beats chasing him around the house to keep him in a chair!
