NTTALR: Grrrr... vent

So, I posted about my little brother coming to town and surprising my sister on her birthday, and he brought his new wife.  Well, they're leaving Sunday and we had planned a cookout at my gramma's here in Kokomo, where I live, early Saturday afternoon at like 2.  FI and I planned our day around that, because we have plans later that evening with his mom.

Now I just found out that the cookout's been moved to my mom's, which is an hour away from here, and it's at 4pm, instead of 2 like before.  And now I don't know if we'll be able to go....  we are on a strict budget, gas isn't cheap and if we went, we'd be there all of an hour or so before having to come back home to meet up with FI's mom.

I know if I want to see him again before they go back to New Jersey, I have to figure out a way to make it all work.  But I'm just frustrated with my family for just arbitrarily changing everyone's plans the DAY BEFORE and not even checking with anyone to see if it causes any problems.  We'd had this planned all week!
