Infertility

I could do cartwheels I am so thrilled

I posted a while back about my insurance not covering my ER visit when I was pregnant/miscarrying.  I was livid considering it was a few grand and my doctor was the one that sent me there and I just felt all around cursed with all things pregnancy related.  I finally received the bill yesterday from the emergency physicians and just sent a check in since I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I got up this morning more pissy then usual about it so I decided to call and argue with my insurance company again.  They said they were sorry to have cause trouble and are covering it all!  I do have to pay a stop payment on the check but 30 bucks is nothing compared to what the check was for!

Party!!!

  • yay!!  that really sucks that they put you through that tho!!!
  • You should call the hospital and let them know about this. Not only will you have to pay a stop payment fee to your bank - but the hospital is legally allowed to charge you for a returned check fee.

I know it's small potatoes considering what the check is worth - - but why lose money if you don't have to.

    Just a heads up......

  • Yay. that is so great. I'm very glad for you.

  • I did call them and notified them that I stopped payment on the check so they are not going to attempt depositing it when they receive it next week!  She said they would have deposited it and eventually got it back to me.
