red eye/lethargic - question

I'm a bit concerned about Timmy. He usually gets up at 7, and today my DH gave him his paci and he went back down until 8:45. Then he only stayed up til 10 and went down for a nap, and was lethargic most of the time. Also when he woke up the rim around his eye was red and puffy and he keeps rubbing it. I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. I don't know if it's a cold or allergies, or possibly an infection. He was great yesterday so I'm weirded out that he randomly woke up sick. I made an appt with the pedi for this afternoon, but I just was curious if anyone had dealt with anything like this. Thanks.

Did you try giving him some benadryl to see if that cleared it up? Brooke's eye was all puffy and goopy last week and this is what the Pedi said to do. She said if it went away from that it was an allergy.  Could he have pink eye?

When I saw your topic about being red eyed and lethargic, I thought you were talking about yourself.  That is kind of how I am feeling today.  Red eyed and lethargic.  Me and your son have lots in common.
