Post pregnancy shoe size

It's time for me to go back to work and I still have 20 pounds to lose from my pregnancy. Obviously my clothes don't fit but none of my shoes fit either. The clothes don't bother me so much but replacing all my shoes is well pretty disheartning. I'm wondering if I should hold on to them in hopes that I may *someday* fit into them or just cut the cord now and go shopping.

Did you shoes fit after you lost all the pregnancy weight?

Re: Post pregnancy shoe size

  • Actually no, mine didn't.  The swelling went down, which was nice, but my feet went from an 8.5 to a 9.5 and I had to buy all new shoes.  They are also a bit wider than they were, so my custom inline skates are useless now - I can't even get my toes in them.  It sucks, but hopefully you can catch a great shoe sale (Dillard's and Nordie's usually have GREAT sales toward the end of August).

    Same here.

  • Yep, grew a whole size after pregnancy. Sucks when there are certain shoes you don't wear often but are expensive like hiking and bike shoes that have to be replaced.

  • Mine actually stayed the same.?

This. But I didn't have any swelling in my feet, so I wore the same shoes throughout my pregnancy.

  • I've noticed a slight difference, but not enough to justify replacing all of my shoes, i just buy a size 8 now, instead of 7.5

Yeah, can't wear my bike shoes either, which really sucks.
