how do u make creaming your child fun?!

ugh...my LO has excema and has to be creamed 2-3 times a day or she gets really bad patches and rashes.She sees the tube of cream and starts screaming...then it only gets louder as i'm creaming her up. Plus I'm fast about it. So frustrating, and on top of it..I feel bad cause I don't know why she hates it so.......much.

Do you think the cream makes her itchy or is unfriendly to her skin?  Have you tried changing it?

A major distraction for DS is me or DH grabbing some toy, putting into our mouths and shaking our heads like crazy. It doesn't matter what we have to do to him - it works every time, he LOLs at us making fools of ourselves.

i usually give him something to play with. if that doesn't help, i wait until DH gets home and can entertain him so i can get it done.

I know alot of people will disagree with this but you might want to put on a baby einstein video or something like that to distract her...or music you can sing along to...start to "play" with your child singing and then pull out the lotion and sing songs...put a little on lo hands and see what they do...

Yep...and the thought of a child being "creamed" 3 times  a day makes me sad.....creamed has totally different meaning than applying lotion....to me anyway

Ok, lotioned. I do it nicely...and have changed creams. SHe just hates it. Thanks.
