Poop stains...ugh!

How do you get the poop stains out of LO's clothes?? I'm BF and DD's poop is that mustard color and everytime she has a blowout it gets on her clothes. We use the shout stick right away, but don't do laundry every day so sometimes the clothes sit for a day or so....is there anything better that will get these stains out?? Recommend your stain remover for LO's poop stains!! TIA!

  • wash them in the sink and pre-treat with baby oxyclean, and put some in the wash when you do a load

  • I use a Shout stick, but it's the gel goo with a little scrub brush on the end...it works like a charm every time! You could also try leaving the stained clothing soaking in a bucket of cold water (that helps a lot, too).

  • Ditto the sun. We do it with our cloth diapers and it's amazing.

This. I just washed them with the rest of his clothes, and any that were still stained got the sunshine treatment.

  • I got the Dreft stain treatment spray and it's worked really well for poop stains.  LO just had a MAJOR blowout on the changing table this morning when I was changing him and it went everywhere...got it out no problem.
  • Zout stain remover. It works wonders!

We use the Shout stick with the brush, but maybe I'll try soaking.... I just hate to throw away clothes b/c of these nasty stains!!

    This.

  • I have had good success with Spray N Wash.
  • I am lazy and we never know who is going to do the laundry (ie. me or DH)... DH is lucky to not put red items in with the white so we needed something fool proof... we put liquid BIZ in with our regular detergent in our front loader... I just pour both in at the same time into the detergent tray, maybe a 1 to 3 ratio... knock on wood, I have not had a single item that it did not get the stain out of and our little man is a champ at filling up and over with the BF poo- especially every time we put something really nice and cute on him... I don't pretreat or soak and oftentimes, due to work and other demands, the items have to wait at least a couple of days to get washed... this will also take the stains out of hand-me-downs.. works like a champ.
