When will LO recognize his or her name?

I know its early and they will begin to recognize voices first but when do they truly understand that you are saying his or her name??

DD recognizes her name.  Although it probably only started in the last week or two.

My LO will respond to "pumpkin" more than "James" LOL!!

I wonder this too!  Although like pp said, ds responds to Mr. Man, but not to Eli!

AJ responds to Bubba. LOL He just started this week, though! 'he also responds to "Look at momma" "smile for momma" "hungry?" and "want up?" It's freaking awesome!

I think the normal age is around 4 months.

DD started recognizing her name right around 4 months.
