When did you start TTC after m/c or loss?

The Dr. told me I could start trying again as soon as I got AF. This is my first cycle, but DH doesn't want to go out of our way to TTC this month, which is fine by me. It took us a year and a half to get PG the first time around, so I'm preparing myself for a long road ahead. I'm just curious to know if others waited after you were cleared to TTC again.

We were told to wait 9-12 months, which is a super long time!  It's been 14 months, so I'm ready to be pregnant RIGHT NOW!

Regardless of when you are medically cleared, you have to wait until it's right for you mentally and emotionally too.  AF did not show for me until 12 weeks after the m/c, so I was forced to wait a little extra time - but we had planned to wait at least 2 months anyway. Do what is right for you and your DH.  I am so sorry for your loss.

We were told to wait one cycle and that's what we did.

I had a blighted ovum that resulted in a d&c at 10w5d. I was told that I was able to ttc after my first visit by af. We thought we were going to start ttc again right away, but it ended up being a bit of an emotional journey for dh and I both. We ended up waiting 4-5 months before deciding to start ttc again.

Good luck with whatever you and dh decide.....and  here's to hoping it doesn't take a fraction as long to conceive this time around!!!!

We were told to wait until after 2 regular cycles. I had my first in July. I feel like it has been forever!

My Dr actually told us it was fine to go ahead right away (as soon as my hcg went down to zero).  She gave us the greenlight last week.  Only issue she said was that it would be hard initially to date the pregnancy until they could do an ultrasound, since we couldn't go off my LMP.  Because of the m/c it will be a crapshoot to figure out when I ovulate during this in-between time. So she said it was more realistic to wait until I got AF and then start a more concentrated effort - if we are emotionally ready for it of course. So we are trying, but I am waiting til after AF to start temping and charting.

We were told we could try again as soon as we felt ready. Needless to say, after 6 days of m/c bleeding, we were at it again. Took two cycles to get our BFP.

we were told 3 with both losses the first we waited 6 bc I just wasnt ready and this time we waited 4

As soon as we got the go-ahead we started immediately.

Can't Wait To Be A Mama

2 full cycles. So as soon as AF shows, we are back in the game.  I'm not sure if you've heard this, but sometimes, women are much more fertile after a pregnancy, hopefully your wait won't be long.

We were told to wait 1 cycle, and we did - I'm glad we did, because I don't think I would have been emotionally ready any sooner.
