11 WEEKS HAVEN'T HEARD HEARTBEAT

I AM 11 WEEKS NOW AND AS OF YESTERDAY AT DOCTORS VISIT WE COULDN'T FIND HEART BEAT!iT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY I AM SCARED AND NERVOUS ALL IN THE SAME TIME..I AM OVER WEIGHT WITH THI SCHILD SO i KNOW THAT HAS A FACTOR BUT JUST SO NERVOUS HAS ANYONE HAD THIS HAPPEN..?I HAVE HAD A ULTRASOUND AND SEEN HEART BEAT AT 8 WEEKS BUT..JUST NOT SO REASSURING NOW...!SO NERVOUS

Well you aren't 11 weeks yet, so that is a factor as well. If you saw the hb, I'm sure that's reassuring. We haven't seen/heard anything yet. Some people don't hear it until 14 weeks. I'm sure it makes you nervous.

You say you saw the heartbeat earlier? I wouldn't worry about it too much.

It's very common to have not heard the heartbeat via doppler yet if you have a little fluff around the abdomen, try not to worry. That's great that you have seen it via u/s.

When I went to my Doc he said I was 11 weeks 4 days and he couldn't hear the HB. I go for my first sono tomorrow. At least you saw a heartbeat! I haven't seen/heard anything!  lol

so your dr. found the hb a few weeks ago and now he can't? Is that what you are saying? If so, I would be worried too. What does your dr. say about this?

I think she's saying she had a internal u/s at 8 weeks and the dr tried to find the hb with a doppler this time.

My next appointment is next Wed.  We also have not seen/heard anything up to this point.  I am so hopefull that we can hear the hb next week (I'll be 11 weeks 6 days).

I would just relax for the time being.  GL

For starters Sorry for caps was in a bit of a hurry...anywho..ok so What I was pointing out was simply that YES at my 8 week ultrasound the tech found a movement(heartbeat) Now at this appoitment with my Ob..at 10 weeks and 3 days..she could not hear a heartbeat.

Now in concern to being worried about it I am just uneasy and looking for some assurence that the baby is well..As we all know "not knowing is scary"

I am taking it one day at a time and hopeful that at next visit all will be grand.This is a very big surprise pregnacy for me so I am just so nervous!

I think if your Dr was worried they would have brought in a u/s machine. I was 12 weeks on Monday when I had an appt. They tries to use a dopplar, but ended up using an external u/s.

Okay, so it sounds like they tried to listen with a doppler? If that's the case, typically you can pick up the h/b on the doppler between 10-12 weeks so don't panic. If your doctor wasn't worried, you shouldn't be either.

We've seen the hb and it looks really good and strong, but we still haven't heard anything. Our Dr. doesn't seem too worried, since it shows on the u/s. I'm getting close to 13 weeks and everytime we go in, the Dr. tries to find it with the doppler, but no luck. Just relax... the little buggers don't always work with us!!!
