Cycle still on! And E2 question

Hi ladies, Good news from the nurse just now.  My E2 levels went up today but not by much so I can continue on with the cycle for now.  I have to go back in tomorrow for more b/w. It's just day by day right now, but for today I am happy. 

I'm thinking the acupuncture I had to treat hyperstimulation yesterday looks like it worked, so I made another appt for tomorrow.

But I want to have a better idea of where my E2 levels should be and what is "normal". Today after 5 days of stims my E2 was 1,964. 

What was your E2 level when you triggered? Thanks for responses!

mine was 1794 but it depends too on your progesterone level and how many follies you have.  I have DOR so I have about 13 follies but likely 8-9 mature so that is likely all they were gonna get.  I triggered yesterday.  I went from 1200 on day 8 to 1794 on day 9.  Usually the rule of thumb is E2 is 200 per mature follicle so you probably have 10 mature.  Maybe they think they can get more.

This is really interesting to learn. I'd never heard about 200 per mature follicle. I have 40 follies of all sizes right now... so it should be higher then. Ok good. When they were talking about cancelling me today I was just getting so anxious. But it was only 5 days of stimming.

Hi Terra!  I am so excited for you!!  yayyy!  I know what it feels like to go day by day in a cycle constantly worrying it will get canceled.

My levels were over 6000 when I triggered.  In order to decrease chances of OHSS I was given a lower dose of HCG and lupron.

 Congrats!  Most docs will trigger at or below 3000 (maybe a little over 3000).

I don't really buy the 200 pe mature any more.  My E2 was 3719 at trigger and I only had 4 mature eggs.  I think the 200 per mature is more accurate for an IUI or TI cycle when you don't have so many follicles.

So happy to hear you werent cancelled! I think my E2 was about 2600 and I had about 40 follies. I cant remember if I mentioned this in a post to you already or not....I was showing some signs of OHSS @ ER...they gave me some meds in an IV and then I took pills for like 5 days afterwards to help bring it down. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the responses everyone, this definitely gives me hope, especially hearing your experiences Harley8Q, Believer and LCB34. I'm glad that things worked out for both of you despite the high levels! It's good to know that there are medicines to bring down the E2. My doctor didn't mention that at all.

I'm using donor eggs, so I'm not triggering, but I wanted to wish you luck with this cycle!  Acupuncture is so great - I've been having a lot of success with it too - I think I'll be using it for more than just IF after all this craziness is over.
