Today's FSH results are a 16. That's down from last month which was 18.1. RE won't use my eggs for IVF if FSH is above 15. But there's hope...
I'm starting thyroid meds tomorrow that may lower my FSH. They take 6 weeks to kick in. I'll get the thyroid (TSH) retested at 6 weeks and the FSH on the following CD3 after that 6 weeks (October). So not much to report before than....unless...
There's also hope we'll get a BFP the old fashioned way in the meantime! DH's SA was normal and so is everything else with me (other than the old eggs), so chances are slim but not zero!
Re: My FSH results
here's to hoping the thyroid meds help.
as a side note; have you seen a regular endocrinologist for your thyroid, your RE can help you with this but its best to go to a regular one, they are more schooled on how to regulate and can be more aggresive with getting your levels back in control and you will continue to need him/her long after you are "done" TTC to keep your levels in control it does take time and each person is an individual and needs tweaking my micrograms; just a slight increase or decrease can make a world of difference for you.
Yes, I went to a regular endocrinologist today. She explained that the RE is quite different from a regular endocrinologist. She said that there may be some adjustments of meds and I might feel better or worse depending on dosage, its just a take it and see situation.
Thanks!
Aww thanks Xine! I do really enjoy the ladies on this board!
Good luck on the meds. It's so nice to have a plan!!!!
crossing fingers for the old fashioned way working!?
Good luck with the meds!
Hope you get a BFP the old fashioned way while you are working on the thyroid.
There's absolutely hope!
And here's to hoping you get an old school BFP in the meanwhile...
Good luck with the thyroid. It took me a month or 2 to get the right balance of meds. to get mine under control.
In the meantime...I say go for it the old fashioned way!
