There's a vintage fabric store in San Francisco, the name of which escapes me. Maybe you could google it? Or try Ebay? I've bought cool vintage buttons, but never fabric, although I would love to!
(We have a 50's chrome and formica kitchen table with red trim and red chairs... is your kitchen eat-in? You could get a similar table!!)
