Wet bags & pail ?s

I really like the Planet Wise wet bags. I'm thinking of getting the big size and a regular foot-pedal trash can from like Target. The large size is 18x21. Does that sounds like a good size if doing diapers every 3rd day?

I'm open to other wet bags if people have ones they like better... maybe an Etsy seller?

I registered for a diaper pail with carbon filters, but I'm think it's not absolutely necessary. Am I wrong?

Re: Wet bags & pail ?s

  • I think you are looking for a pail liner instead of a wetbag. Wetbags are typically for "on the go" - pail liners fit in your diaper pail or garbage can. I think a lot of us here just use plain ol rubbermaid trash cans from Target/Walmart. Planetwise makes a hanging wet bag that you put on a door knob that would hold more diapers like a pail liner.

  • I love my Whammie's wet bag, but hate the pail liner.  The pail liner it too hard to wash beacuse it's so big, it just get tagled up in the wash and there is always water trapped inside at the end of the cycle.  I don't feel like it gets clean.  Check out littlebeachbum.com for wet bags.

  • I like my planet wise pail liners.  I have two.  I use a small wet bag for my diaper bag.

  • I had been using Goodmama's wet bags but I didn't feel they contained the stink good enough (I wash diapers every 2-3 days).  So I recently made the switch to PlanetWise and we're very happy w/ the performance so far.  I have the large wet bag that hangs on a hook near DD's changing table and I bought 2 medium sizes for use w/ childcare, in her diaper bag, etc.
  • I use a wahmies pail liner and a simple human flip top trash can.  Simple Human has carbon filters you can attach inside the lid.
  • Cool! I didn't know Planet Wise had a hanging bag. I just ordered one. Thanks ladies!
