FU to post about baby carriers / Store rave review!

If you haven't been there, you should check out the store Peppermint in Richardson. Besides cloth diapering supplies, they have all sorts of baby carriers and even offer baby carrying classes where you learn about all the varieties and how to use them. Or, if you want, just drop in and the staff can help you try a few on and figure out what would work best for you. I've been there a few times and they helped me immensely! (I went with a pikkolo since it could do outward facing front holds and isn't bad for DS's hips)

Love, love, love this store! They also have wooden and organic toys and products. Seriously, go check them out!!!

     I'm happy you got a carrier.  I think you'll be very pleased with the pikkolo.  DD LOVES facing out.  I went to a similar store at home when I bought it.  I'll keep peppermint in mind.  Did I see pp's saying they are only open Sat now?

    Peppermint is definitely having reduced hours now, but I've seen mixed info. One email from them said they'd be open Sats only from 12-4. A second email said they'd be open on Thurs from 2-4 (NOT 12-4).

    I'm planning to call tomorrow during that window to check. 

    It is a great store! It's sad that they are having to cut back so much on their hours.
