Just got the results of H's bloodwork and everything is normal except for his testosterone levels. Normal is 300 and his is 280.
Google has increased my anxiety over this and I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this.

Re: low testosterone? azoo ladies
I am not sure that it makes that much difference. My DH has low testosterone but his SA results have been normal. For that reason, the RE isn't concerned and he's been referred to a regular endocronologist. He's just not gone since the focus now is TTC.
Ok...my DH had b/w at Labcorp and his testosterone came back 226--obviously a big problem! We went to the uro and he talked about putting him on Clomid, because apparently it causes testosterone in men to go up. Before doing that, he ordered a repeat testosterone test. On the repeat, he had a 352? WTH, right?? Well, apparently there was some lab error. Get him retested before you stress too much, and just like our b/w, that was his score on that day at that moment in time, it probably fluctuates.
Retest, retest, retest
Hey, Mrs.AmandaMqn~
My dh had normal testosterone but high fsh? It didn't change anything for us. Did they determine that there was no blockage? Has your uro recommended a biopsy? That was our next step in figuring out where to go from there.
Good luck to you~

My DH has much lower testosterone than you're dealing with (under 200) and high FSH (around 30 I think). So I don't know that our situation will help....Based on the results of the hormone panel, the results of the genetic testing, and the physical exam (ie no obstruction, no missing vas, and testicular volume) they determined the cause of the azoo to be testicular failure. They are not treating the low testosterone with anything (his high FSH indicates that his body knows it isn't producing sperm and is trying extra hard).
Have you gotten any other results back? I would guess they might have him retest since it seems like he is pretty close to the normal range and if his FSH is normal they may prescribe clomid or something similar to get his body to increase testosterone production.
It sounds like the low testosterone in itself isn't really a cause (just basing this on the other ladies who's husbands had low test. but normal or near normal SA).
GL! :-)
