My mom is on to me!

My husband and I have had a very long and emotional road on our way to our BFP.  We had discussed that we would tell people after our first Dr. appt on Aug 13.  Well that doesn't include my mom.  I wanted to tell her right away but my husband had unexpected nasal sugery on Friday to fix a broken nose.  Well, I have been occupied with him and he has been out of it b/c of the meds so I wanted to wait until he was coherent enough to be there with me when we tell her.  The problem is that she knew when we had the IUI so she is expecting my period or BFP!  I want to tell her in person but last night on the phone she asked if AF arrived.  I froze and ended up lying to her and saying no not exactly but I would be calling the doc later this week.  I'm not even sure what that was supposed to mean! So this afternoon on the phone she tells me that she had a dream last night that she saw me at 8.5 mo preg and didn't know and asked me how long I was going to keep it from her.  That's creepy!  She's on to me!  I'm hoping my hubby feels better by Friday so we can go tell her.

I think moms sometimes have a sort of sixth sense. We found out I was pregnant with DD#1 mid December. THat Thanksgiving a month before my mom asked me if I was Preg because she too had a dream I was. I just told her no and that she was crazy. It turns out we had just conceived. Creepy!

Yah my mom told me I would be pregnant before the year was up and I NEVER told her Dh and I were trying! and here we are me pregnant! crazy!

So when my period was due, my mom was asking and I just kept putting her off by telling her all the HPT came back neg but no period & I had a Dr. apt for 6/30. All was true except HPT came back as BFP. But by telling her no period but I had a Dr apt, it kept her off my back for 2 weeks.

On a side note, Aug 13th isn't that far away, I hope things work out for you & when you do tell her shes surprised!

I definitely think that some people have a sixth sense or something! Last week I went to lunch with my mom and another secretary that works with her. Later that day the other secretary asked my mom if I was pregnant because there "was just something" about me. Mom said no (because at the time we didn't know yet)....turns out I was. It's so weird.

Oh my goodness.  That's crazy.  Hopefully you get to tell her soon!  And hope your DH feels better.

My mom had no idea, but my son apprently had baby ESP.  A week and a half before this baby was conceived, he told his teacher and his principal that there was a baby in his mommy's tummy.  Of course when i got there to pick him up, they asked, and i laughed and told them nope! No baby.  A month later we had to pick up his graduation video, and I had to tell them that he had in fact predicted the future and i wqas pregnant.  All we could do was laugh!
