I read this in CONCIEVE Magazine online this morning very interesting. About how so many couples are going overseas for DE & GS to Czech Republic, South Africa, India etc waaaay cheaper than here.

Would you travel for DE or GS if you had no insurance coverage or had limited funds?
Do you think there are any Pros or Cons to this?
Re: Interesting Article Destination: Get Pregnant/Poll
This is becoming more and more common, and if we were not able to secure the loan that we did for DE in the US, I may have considered it. FWIW, there is a board dedicated to international IVF (including DE and GS) on ivfconnections.com that is super helpful in researching clinics. As well, a number of DE users on the network 54 DE board have gone abroad.
My impression is that there are very few cons. Some clinics overseas do not let you select a donor, but the same can be said for clinics here. The success rates may be slightly lower, but that is typically overshadowed by affordability. I am sure there would be some anxiety regarding being away from home, but particularly for DE, there is so little in the way of medical intervention being performed on the recipient that I would not feel unsafe.
I am a runner, knitter, scientist, DE-IVF veteran, and stage III colon cancer survivor.
You bring out some great points. I can totally understand why people would do it. The price of DE IVF and GS over here is just absurd and the $$$ is not geared towards middle class or lower income people. I guess to answer my own POLL question:
I am not at the point of considering DE yet, but if it ever comes to where I would have to use them I told my DH I would be on a plane to the "Mother Land" in a heartbeat lol

We considered it but DH wasn't comfortable w/ it. I was fine w/ it. I'd done a good bit of research and followed a thread of women who went where we were considering going and they had great things to say.
We don't have covereage and do have limited funds. I found that all in all CNY gave us similar cost (w/ FET) in the US so we chose that option.
Good Luck with your upcoming cycle
