The reason I ask is b/c I have this feeling that I am farther along than I think. I took my first OPK (CBE Digital) the end of May and got a positive like the 28th or 30th. We were both sick with bad colds at that time so we ended up not TTC that month. Then when I got my period in June it was unusually light and lasted maybe 3 days. I didn't take a HPT until my July period was due and thats when I got the BFP.
I am just wondering if maybe I didn't O on those days or maybe O later and the light bleeding in June was maybe implantation bleeding.
I had just come off BC too...is it possible my cycle was still off kilter? I was pretty regular before I was on BC.
I know the only real way to know is to find out at my u/s...but just wondering what you experts think.....TIA!
Re: Can OPKs give false positives?
Absolutely. Medications can affect an OPK, for example if you're prescribed Clomid.
You can also gear up to ovulate and the OPK reads positive, but then you don't. You can gear up multiple times in a cycle but ovulate once.
