Please recommend your non-video baby monitor.

I need to get a new baby monitor for my 2 month old DD.  Our old one from DS no longer works and I never liked it to begin with.  I bought the Graco iMonitor Digital and there is so much static that I have to put my ear to the speaker to hear anything.  I do like that it has a vibration feature though.  Most other audio monitors have gotten awful reviews.  Please recommend yours, if you like it.  Thanks.

  • We are still using the Sony "Baby Call" monitor that I got before our 5 1/2 year old DD was born.  Works PERFECTLY and has been used for 5 1/2 years STRAIGHT!!  Perfect reception and it has a rechargable battery, which is a great feature.  I would definitely recommend this monitor!
  • we have a fisher price one not sure if there is a model number or not, i like this one because it also has a lite up scale on the monitor that more lights will come on the louder it gets.  There are also multiple receivers for the house and it also works on batterys

  • I second the Sony.  We use our about twice/day (nap and nighttime) and have had it for 2.5 years.  No problems and it still holds a charge for about 2 days (using it for the nap and overnight).  My brother has a Graco one that lost its charge part-way through the night.  It was sooo annoying.  Ours gets some interference every once in a while, but other than that, it's great.

  • I absolutely love our Sony Baby Call monitor. We've been using it for over 2 years and it's awesome.

  • We used the Angel Care Monitor for two or three years with our DD.  It had very little interference and the motion detector pad helped me resist racing down the hall to check on her every time I had a paranoid thought.

Another vote for the Sony Babycall!

I loved ours so much, that I bought another one when DD#2 was born. We set them on different channels, and they never interfere. They are both awesome.

  • Another vote for the Sony Babycall.  We have had it since DD#1 was born and have no problems with it.  I also have an angelcare monitor which I love.
