Help with an overnight diaper ?

I use BG 3.0's on my 9 month old.  I stuff it with 2 microfiber inserts (the 2 that come with it) and also a hemp insert.  Lately his pj's in the early morning are just damp enough that I need to change them before he goes back to bed for a few hours.  Is there something that I could do different to prevent this?  Should I use a pre-fold in there instead of the hemp inserts?  Add a second hemp insert?  Help!

I think you're just going to have to play around with different combinations to see what works the best for you.  BGs don't work at all for us at night but many people do use them and I bet everyone has a different combo!

agree w/ this. ?what ended up working for us was a B4 and wool cover.

Where are his pj's damp? Sometimes DD's will be a little wet in front by the waistband because she sleeps on her tummy and I think it leaks up a little bit but it's not an absorbancy problem. If it's just getitng a little too full though you might try putting 2 hemp inserts instead of the microfiber, or maybe the thin microfiber over 2 hemps?

Ditto playing around to see what works. We used BGs and other pockets at night for awhile (with either 3 mf infserts or 2 microfiber/1 hemp). When that stopped working, we switched to GMs with a super doubler and Thirsties cover. That's our leak proof solution for now. GL!

Oh and I guess I should add we did end up changing her night diaper from a BG to a babybeehind magic all, which is an ai2 - it has a layer of microfiber built in but comes with a bamboo insert (which we use plus a hemp liner).
