Stupid question of the day re: heartburn

What does heartburn feel like?  I don't think I've ever had it before but last night and today about 45 min - 1 hour after I eat I have a kind of tightening/burning in my chest (not painful but definitely uncomfortable). It is mostly located on the left side.  I also feel slightly like I'm going to throw up though (like I overate and dont have room in my stomach for all the food, if that makes sense).

I have burning in my throat and it feels kinda like something is trying to come up into my mouth.

Take some tums and see if that helps......then you'll know:)

I guess this is like a burning in my chest but definitely on the left side only which I thought was weird...

Mine feels like being shot between the breasts with a flaming arrow.  Not something I generally get a kick out of; thankfully it never lasts terribly long.

I took some Tums and feel a bit better so I guess I now have the joys of hearburn.  I didnt realize salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumbers and mushrooms) caused heartburn...
