wearing underwear=FAIL, PT'ing issue

At home, we have been letting Reagan run around without bottoms on.  She hasn't had an accident in over 3 weeks.

She wears a diaper at naptime and bedtime.  We aren't using pull ups.  Anytime we put her in underwear, whether at home or out, she pee's/poops in them just like a diaper.

She's never had a success wearing underwear, but is accident free naked.  Help!  How do you help them understand underwear vs. diaper?

We tried a few times with DS but he just didn't get it.....or care!  It just clicked with him this past week and he's staying dry now.  Maybe she's just not ready?  IDK.

I don't have a solution for you, but I just wanted to say DD is the exact same way. She will go on the toliet pretty much all the time if she is naked but once she gets underwear or a pull-up on, she goes in them. I'm just holding off for a while...

I had the exact same situation with DD. I explained to her (again) that undies are not a diaper, and if you pee in your underwear you really are peeing on the floor. For whatever reason that finally clicked for her. Now every time I put underwear on her she says to me, "Remember the rule? If you pee on undies, you pee on the floor." It has become her mantra. Just stick with it - I'm sure it will click for her soon.
