NER: Almost got to help sew for Extreme Makeover

Extreme Makeover is in my hometown right now and they are looking for people to help sew curtains, etc. today and tomorrow.  My name was suggested by a high school classmate's mom who is helping to find those volunteers.  (I costumed plays in high school and did student films and productions and community theatre more recently.  I'm no seamstress, but I can operate a sewing machine...)

Unfortunately, DS has a virus and has had a fever since Thursday and I'm just not comfortable leaving him.  So, I came THIS close to helping sew for Extremem Makeover.  I'm sorry I'm not able to help, but I'm really flattered that my name was suggested!

I'm sorry.    It is cool that you were asked for personally, though!

They're actually doing a house in our area in the near future, and DH may do some volunteering for them.  I don't know in what capacity, as it was just an e-mail sent by an acquaintance friend, but it'll be interesting to be a part of it.  We'd have to figure out some way to actually watch the episode...
