Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Anyone's AF still wacky at 1yr+?

Ok so DD was conceived when I was on the BCP. DH and I were surprised but thrilled. I had been on BC for 10+ years (we have been together 12/married 5) so it was about time any way. I EBF DD for 6 months. Long story short, my cycles seem really, really long. I would say 45+ days although I just started keeping track this last month because they seemed long but I swear the last few have been that way.  Having been on BC for so long I don't know what to expect. Do you think I my body is still adjusting or do you think I just have really long cycles? Maybe I'm not ovulating? Hmmm. I have an appointment with my OB next month and I'll bring it up then but I was just curious if anyone else has gone through this. TIA.

  • Still no AF for me, so yep - still wacky. I just weaned a few months ago though.

  • Still no AF for me either, still BFing.
  • That's what mind did until recently.  I asked my doctor about it and he said since I had problems before and they were always within every two months not to worry that it would regulate after a while.  It took 16 months (no BF) but its finally down to 30 days like clockwork.
  • I ebf and got AF back at 2.5 months pp - sucked!  I'm still nursing first thing in the morning and that's it, but my cycles range from 24-28 days.  They used to be 27-29 days.  I also started keeping track of mine because they seemed short.  I'm not temping, just watching cm, moods, cramps, etc but fertility friend isn't detecting ovulation.  I'm hoping I am since we'd like to ttc soon...

But yeah, I'd say mine are still kind of wacky for me.

  • I BF and had only had two cycles - one at about 8 months postpartum, and another around 13 months - and then got pregnant when DS was almost 14 months.  I didn't think the timing was right, but...I was obviously wrong, because baby #2 is on the way!  So yes, still wacky past a year.
