found the HB with a doppler!

I swore I'd never get a home doppler because it would make me crazy but i broken down the other day and ordered it (call it temporary insanity). 

Well, I'm 9w 6d today and managed to find it after about 10 min of searching.  It's tough hearing it thru my heartbeat (which i was able to find in all kind of weird spots!) but I did manage to find it...it's significantly faster than mine so that's how i knew.  The doppler was tracking it at about 165bpm although I'm not sure how accurate that is since it was so hard to hear. 

How fun! Now let's see if I can find it when DH gets home tonight!

Congrats!! My doppler is the greatest reassurance I have in my pregnancy.  I listen to my baby's heartbeat every evening before bed, and its music to my ears every time.

found mine on amazon - FaceLake Pocket Ultrasound Fetal Doppler - Sonotrax-B  (that's what's written on the box..)

my doc couldn't get the hb on friday. he said according to them I was 11 weeks. i'm thinking its just because i have a lil bit extra in that area....

Did you get the jelly stuff as well or were you able to do it just on your skin?

Mine came with some jelly. I tried it without and had no luck so I tried it with.  I think because I'm so early you really need it.  I also had a full bladder and i think that helped.

I still need my gel.  Once you run out just buy KY (or any other water based  lube).  It will save you a lot of money!
