DH yelled at me...

He scolded me last night- the reason? I wanted him to make the baby kick (LO likes to kick when his daddy pushes on my belly), and he got upset! DH thought the baby was sleeping, and that he would wake up and then keep me up all night if DH made him kick!  I tried to explain that the baby would go right back to sleep, and that making him kick at 8pm was not going to keep him up the rest of the night! I don't know where he gets this stuff....

Edit: Just to clarify- I thought it was adorable. He was so serious, and I have NO CLUE where he came up with this, but he was convinced it would be bad for me and the baby if he tried to make him kick! He is so silly!

    Especially since I've heard that LO can get pretty rowdy just as Mama is trying to go to sleep. DH's can be so goofy.

    Awww. Sorry he yelled at you, but it sounds to me like your DH was trying very hard to be a good father and husband by not waking the baby. Of course it would be nice if he took your insight into account more, but just think how great he's going to be when your LO actually arrives.

    While he might have gone too far scolding you like that, it's nice to know he actually thinks of things like that. Not only was he thinking about you being able to sleep, but he was thinking about LO being a real person in there that sleeps and wakes and annoys Mommy at night.

    Maybe it's just me, but it's kind of cute and touching. Many men don;t even start to think of their babies as people until the first time they hold them.

    I'm not upset at all. He just got so serious about it, and I had to laugh. I thought it was cute that he came up with that! He is very silly sometimes!

    My dh told me that I was pressing too hard and smooshing the baby's face. ?He proceeded to then show me on my own face how I was doing it. ?Silly dh.
