I received an email this morning that they are having a workshop this Saturday and DH and I are planning on going to it. Has anyone been? What did you think?

I would absolutely not go to that if I were you. I went to a "breastfeeding workshop" there and it was a 45-minute plug for Medela products. I imagine a registry workshop would be even worse.

Did they at least offer you some coupons or discounts? I might consider going to one of these things if that were the case.

They gave me a bottle of water and a free sample of nursing pads. That's it. Wasn't worth my time at all.
Ive never been, but Im not sure what youd learn in a workshop. Maybe its just my BRU, but anytime Ive asked questions about specific products, they are more clueless than me, so I dont really know what they'd tell me that I dont already know, or couldnt find out from posting questions on this board....probably just pushing certain name brands. Unless theres some great perk or coupon or something, Id save your time and go whenever it fits in your schedule. If thats Saturday, then great, but I wouldnt stress going to the workshop.

DH seemed interested in going but I didn't feel it was absolutely necessary. I've been reading baby bargains and feel I have a good grasp on what I should get, what to look out for, etc. Thanks for the feedback.
