do you buy used shoes for your kid's everyday shoes? i know for dress shoes, it doesn't matter. but for the everyday I normally buy stride rite and I'm debating used.
No. They've been molded (even subtly) to another child's feet, so I don't want that to mess up DD's foot development. Maybe if she were older but not right now. We always buy one pair of high quality basic play shoes and then go cheap for some of the others.

I have before but they were just Robeez (the soft sole kind). I have some hand me downs from my niece as well, but most of those are nicer dress shoes that she'll probably wear once or twice.
I have bought gently used tennis shoes off Ebay and they've been fine. However, let me state for the record that my daughter has an insane amount of shoes, so she doesn't wear the same pair every day... each pair only gets a little wear . So, I don't really spend more than $15 on a pair (usually Target or something).?
I had bought a few pairs of Pedipeds off of ebay in the 0-6 and 6-12 month size, but I wouldn't and didn't after she started walking. She does have some hand me down shoes from her 2 girl cousins, but like a pp said, they weren't every day shoes so they had very little wear.

No, I always buy DD new shoes. She currently has two pairs of stride rites that we alternate between. Regarding dress shoes, I still buy new but will often get cheap ones since she doesn't wear them very often.
Daycare suggested I get a pair of Stride Rite because DD's walk was a bit off. I believe she's just learning to walk so it's not going to be perfect. I did get the SR ones though. We'll see what happens. Till than no used shoes though.
Nope, I usually buy one pair od SR shoes and then a few pairs of cheap ones for the backyard. Used ones have been molded to other kids feet and I don't want that to affect my daughters walk.

Only the Robeez kind form the consignment shop.
