The "weight talk" ... only good!

I just got back from my appointment today. Apparently I've gained 9 pounds between July 1st and today.

So what did my doctor say about that?

"Ok, THERE'S you're weight spurt! You were gaining weight so slowly I was starting to wonder when you would get that spurt! Well done!"

That totally made my day, lol!

    This gives me hope. So far I'm not really "up" any weight - since I had the stomach flu before I got knocked up and was down 5 pounds...

    Thanks for the inspiration! And congrats on your weight spurt! Yay for healthy babies!

    At my appt last week, they said that I gained a total of 10 lbs, but I think that it off because I peed 2 minutes after she weighed me and I must have peed for 3 minutes straight.  That's got to be at least a pound and then I went home a pooped out probably 3 pounds so I tell myself that I've really only gained 6lbs. Stick out tongue

    July 2011: Unmedicated cycle = BFP! on August 29th, 2011
    Nov 6th 2011: m/c due to subchorionic hematoma
    Dec 2011: Start TTC again, unmedicated
    February 12th, 2012: BFP! EDD 10/23/12
    Mar 12th 2012: diagnosed as blighted ovum

    YAY you!! I can only imagine the talk I am going to have with my Dr. in a week. I haven't gained a single stinkin' lb since my last appt where I was up only 2 lbs from pre-pg weight! Not that I need to gain a lot, but something would be nice! I am 18 weeks and have gained 2 lbs. 

     

    This happened when I was PG with my son too. My DR. threatened to put me on ensure so I would gain some weight.  ( I left the hospital weighing 6 lbs less then my pre-pg weight, when I had my DS)

    I really thought I was going to get the negative talk, since I was up 10 pounds on July 1st, which brings today's total weight gain to 19 pounds. I was def. pleasantly suprised!

    I think it helps that my OB is a slightly overweight, short, 9 months pregnant woman, lol! I love her!

    OMGsh this makes me feel so good! I was up 10 lbs at my last appt, but hadn't gained anything in 7 weeks, and I swear I have gained another 10 lbs : /  I hope my Dr is as nice as yours about it!! We will see on Weds!
