Best prefold fold for boys?

I noticed awhile ago there are better folds for boys vs. girls out there, but I can't remember why or where I found that.  We're having a little boy (not circumcising if that matters....) and in addition to our KL0's and some AIO's we have a lot of GMD newborn prefolds.  Right now all I know is to fold it in thirds and simply place it in the cover and put it on all at once.  Will that work or do I need to do a special fold (specific to boys?) with my snappis?

I don't know thatyou really need a specific one for boys.  We use the angel wing fold, and love it.  A lot of people also like the jellyroll fold to hold in the poop, but it never worked really well for us.  Just remember if you have any extra to fold down in front to add a bit more absorption, and point his little penis down when you put on the diaper.  Sometimes, when we know he's going to wet a bit heavier (in the morning, or a long nap) I'll put in a hemp doubler in the front, but that's about it - and you won't need that for quite awhile.

I'm loving the bikini twist -- really contains poops well.  But one thing that I' noticing is compared to the KL's the prefolds, when wet, are really really wet.  It might just be the difference in what I feel but I think based on some posts I've read that this is just the way prefolds are.  So I guess just keep that in mind as you're working the prefolds into your rotation. 

I'm also not a huge fan of just putting the prefold in thirds.  That way we're getting poop on a lot of covers and I don't have that many that fit DD right now.

Sweet, thanks! I didn't really think about the poop coming out easier with just folding in it thirds, but that makes sense.  I'd like to keep my covers clean if I can!
