Did you start buying diapers early. I figured we will need SOOOOO many of them to start stocking up now would be a good idea since they aren't cheap! I automatically assume we will need premies but I wonder for how long we will need those. I was indecisive the other day ay Target to get the Premie Pampers..lol.

Def. wait I know it is tempting but you don't know what size you will need.  We never needed preemie sizes.  You also don't know how long they will be in any particular size.  Also different brands work better for different babies.  Some swear by pampers others by Huggies and others by store brands.  You will also be given LOTS of diapers.  It really is best to wait and see.

Don't stock up.  You don't know how many you will receive as gifts, or what brands will work for your kids, or how long your kids will be in any particular size.  My girls never wore premie diapers.

We never used preemie diapers, we had a 5lb3oz and 5lb8oz at birth.  We have yet to buy diapers because people bought them for us as shower gifts.  We won't have to buy diapers until they are in size 3.   We have all different kinds so we can figure out which brand works best on our boys.

 

If you buy diapers get different brands in case one doesn't work out for your babies.

Not sure what we'll do.  Right now IL's have been buying DS' diapers (they have a Costco membership and pick them up there, they've never asked us to reimburse them).  I'm curious if they'll do the same for the twins.  DH wanted to stock up the other day, but I want to get some Target brand diapers, they worked great for DS (we used generics for day use and pampers at night).  I don't plan on getting any preemie, I'll buy those when/if we need them.  I think we'll wait until we get closer to buy a few packs here or there.

If you feel you absolutely must buy some, buy a variety of sizes and brands for all the reasons previously posted.  We hardly got any as gifts and have bought some when there's really good deals.  But we're done now.

I have added diapers to my shopping list and buy them when they are on sale & I have a coupon. I buy size 2 mostly because I got a ton of Newborn & size 1 from my showers.

I did get 1 small bag of preemie though just in case. Not a huge loss if I don't get to use them - just don't want to have to stop at the store on the way home from the hospital if they do need preemie size ) If I don't use them I will just exchange them for a bigger size.

If you do stock up, keep your receipts. You can always exchange for bigger sizes.
We never needed premie diapers.

We stocked up. Mine never wore premies.  But we went through 8 boxes of newborns.  So far we've gone through more than 400 size 1's.
