wknd. trips - any suggestions?

DH txted me this morning asking if he could go on an overnight to Niagra Falls for a day of golfing... normally i'd be fine with this, esp. since he's been working 55 plus hours a week this summer. 

However we have not been on a vaca together since our honeymoon, 5 years ago, and don't know when we will be able to go on a trip once LO is here this early winter.

Its tough during the school year, and once sept. hits our schedules get even crazier! so he suggested Boston, which I think would be fun, but was wondering if anyone had other ideas??? TIA

we're doing the finger lakes in october to enjoy the fall foliage. we've picked out a couple of b&b's to stay at. it will be frustrating to not be able to enjoy the wineries too! but it will be nice to get away, and i think the extra pampering you can get at a b&b will be nice.  hope you find something relaxing and enjoyable. :-)

DH and I were able to take a week long vacation in June, but we are also going down to Virginia Tech (he's an alum) in September for a football game. Usually we would stay in whatever hotel is cheapest, but since it's probably the last time we'll be able to get away, we're staying in an 19th century bed and breakfast. We usually wouldn't spend this much money on just a football weekend, but it's probably the last time we'll get to go down there for a while, so we want to make the most of it.
