1st Trimester

Miss working out.....

I miss working out and feeling good after.  Before my BFP I was going to weight watchers and had lost 15 pounds.....I was on a roll!!  LOL.  I wouldn't say that I am eating worse than I was before, but I definetly do not have the energy to get out and walk and do my videos like I was doing.  I doesn't help that it's 104 outside either.  Plus, my DH is away for National Guard school and the LAST thing I want to do it drag my 2 YP DS out in a stroller...... (sorry for the rant)  :)

So, I've tried swimming a couple time, which is better than nothing I suppose.  I just feel like a big blob sometimes......

Re: Miss working out.....

  • Yup, me too.  By the time I wake up (around 9-10a) it could be in the 90s already.  But most of the mornings I wake up feeling like crud.  I don't get a restful nights sleep, I'm not eating well, and I just don't have any motivation to go on a walk or to the gym (mainly because my vomiting comes on really fast and I don't want to chance it!).

104?  That was the Central Valley last week.  Boy does that dry heat kill any remaining motivation I have.

  • Yeah i am down in Fresno......last week it was no cooler than 102.  Modesto is where my DH drives every month for his Nat. Guard.  I probably would do a little more if my DH was home and could watch out son.  (probably is the key word LOL)  Blah...... the good news is that hopefully I will start feeling better in a few months and the weather will be beautiful.  And I'll be mega pregnant during the winter and spring. So we just have to suck it up!!! :)
  • Yeah, I know how that is! My first tri was tough with no energy- I would come home from work and just collapse on the couch for the rest of the night. Poor DH had to take care of dinner and housework most nights but he was a trooper!! Hopefully you'll get your energy back soon (and the heat will cool a bit)!
  • I know what you mean!

  • me too! I have been on bedrest forever! I just want to walk outside!
  • I didn't work out the entire time I was 7-8 weeks pregnant.  Finally, this morning I was able to get a walk in!  It will come back....don't worry.  You won't feel crappy forever, even though at the time it seems like you will.
