Cake Boss--Carlos Bakery

I saw that some gals posted a note about the Cake Boss.  My gyn/ob is located a block away from this bakery (it's really called Carlo's Bakery), so you can guess what I do after every appointment....

There are so many other treats at the bakery that they don't even talk about....tiramisu, for one (single serving size....yeah, since no one else in my house eats it), and pignolis....delicious!!!!  Mmmmm!

I had never had this but my friend made me a pregnant woman cake for our shower and I tried it.  It was ok..kinda odd to eat. 

OP I can't believe you live that close to the bakery!!

I'm jealous!  I would love to have a good bakery in the area, but i'd get fat

One of the best things about Buddy's cakes is that he puts a healthy layer of buttercream or chocolate fudge frosting between the cake and the fondant, so you peel away the fondant and it's soooo yummy. I am an event planner in NYC and make my clients go visit Buddy in NJ (it's a 10 minute train ride) so they can see how much better he is than anyone else. If my OB was a block away then I would probably be getting a talking to about gaining too much weight during my pregnancy!!
