I can't believe we will be doing this while I am pg. We own our house- but realized that in this market we can get rid of what we have now and buy a bigger house with a smaller mortgage payment... I can't even image all the work that is in store for us. 1. house hunting 2. the stress of buying a house 3. working full time (both of us) 4. being pg 5. moving in a new house 6. being prepped for the new baby....
Calgon take me away! I wish I could drink through this process that lays ahead... I guess grape juice will have to do...
Re: DH and I decided we are house hunting again and moving... (vent)
I hear ya! DH and I are moving 2 hours away to go to college. In the last 4 weeks, we have put our house on the market, dealt with 100+ showings, finally found a buyer, and are now going through the stress of inspections, etc. One of our cars is dying, and will hopefully make it until the house closes and we have money to buy something more reliable. We also have been doing apartment hunting, not easy from 2 hours away, but finally signed papers yesterday for our new place. We aren't moving for another month because we are still finishing school here, but housing is really hard to find there, and we had to jump on it. Money is very tight, we have to pack and move, get settled in, prepare for baby, close on the house, buy a new car, and start school in a brand new town we've barely even visited!
I've been beyond stressed for weeks, with no end in sight.
Yeah our house has dropped in value so much, we're stuck till it levels off. I hate this house it was only meant to be a starter house, but we bought back in 2005 and now the houses are going for what they were built for back in 2001 it sucks b/c we have to get out before LO is 5 b/c they redid the school districts and instead of going to the good schools, they decided to send certain zipcodes to the bad schools in the bad part of town with the thought that mid-higher income parents would help with the schools. Except now we pay higher taxes for the better district and would have to send our kid to schools in neighborhoods that I won't even drive through.
We are moving 5 hours away mid-September. By that point I'm gonna be around 32/33 weeks. I'm excited about the move but stressed at how difficult it will be on me at that stage of pregnancy.
Fortunately for us we'll be renting so we just have to go down a few weeks early and stay with family while we check some apartments out. Should be relatively easy. I've already started collecting moving boxes and boxing up unimportant things like books, scrapbook stuff, etc. so that we can drag out that process as long as possible and it might not be so hard on me.
