Slept on the couch...

And had the best night's sleep in a long time.  Apparently I fell asleep sometime while watching TV.  My hubby attempted to get me up to go to bed but I just swatted at him so he went and got me a pillow and a blanket.  I did not wake up once and woke up feeling refreshed.  Who knew sleeping on the couch could be good for you when you're pregnant?  I am just grateful we have an ultra comfy couch.

  • I'm a stomach sleeper and had a hard time sleeping with my first pregnancy, and i ended up going to the couch (to just watch tv) a couple of times and ended up sleeping there- it help me stay on my side and it was uber comfy!!

  • I love sleeping on the couch!  There is something about just a new sleeping surface that my body likes from time to time.  On my days off, I usually catch a nap on the couch and a couple of nights ago I conked out watching TV with DH and slept there half the night, until he (well-meaning) woke me up to join him in bed (after many failed attempts, I must add -- I apparently would swat at him too grumble things like "leave me alone").

  • I love my couch.  My mom had five kids and told me that when she was pg just as she was getting into her 3rd trimester she always wound up sleeping in the lazy boy recliner. The half upright position is the best.

  • I did this last night! I was finding I could only get a deep breath (allergy-asthma issues) while sitting up, not on my side - we don't have a headboard, and there's a window behind my head, so the only option was to prop myself up on the couch. hey, it worked, even if I missed DH!
