Help! Phil & Ted Double or Baby Jogger Mini Double?

New to DC

My husband and I are trying to decide.  We've researched these like crazy.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

This isn't much help b/c we are getting both.

However, if I had to choose now, I would choose the P&T. We got the P&T when I was pregnant with #1. We will have gotten 19 months out of it as a single stroller before #2 is born. I love that it doesn't always have to be a double stroller.

Have you tried out both of these at the store?  My advice would be to take your older DC to the store and put him or her in each stroller to check the fit.  I had my heart set on the P&T but it turned out not to be a good fit.  DD is very tall for her age and I didn't like the way her head/neck hit the bar on the back of the toddler seat.  We ended up going with the City Mini and I have no regrets.  I can steer it with my pinky and it is very easy to fold/unfold.

ditto test drive them... I thought I wanted the baby jogger, dh was set on the p&t.  the baby jogger was SO wide!  I ended up falling in love with the p&t.  dd is 3 1/2 and still rides in it.  fits fine.  a friend bought one for her 4y/o and younger dd.  and loves it.  I jog with it, walk with it.  push it with one hand while walking a dog.  dc are close in weight now, so it doesn't matter who sits in the back.  dd likes to hop in and out of the back.  I've used the hell out of it and it's held up great.  I had a flat tire once, but it's a quick innertube change at the bike shop.  I also prefer the inflatable tires , especially for a double.  smooth ride.  when I was looking at the baby joggers, I test drove a mini and a classic, preferred the classic b/c of the tires. I believe the mini had plastic tires.

I too love my P&T and #1 is terribly tall (98%) but she does not ride in the jump seat so no worries.

I have only been using it for about 3 weeks, but so far I love my P&T!
