IF we have more (right now it's a very big if) I'm planning to try for a VBAC, assuming it's been at least 2 years since the duo was born and everything looks ok. Because my c-section was an emergency, and my incisions were bigger than normal so they could get to Baby A who was halfway down the birth canal, my OB recommended waiting at least a year to get pregnant again, and two years if I want to try for a VBAC.
My ob informed me yesterday after delivery that if I plan to have more children I will need to have a c. I delivered both girls vaginally yesterday but it was difficult and required a large episiotomy (sp?). He said a full term singleton will be nearly impossible for me to deliver and had my twins waited any longer they too would have been a c.
Vbac. I had a great recovery from my c/s but as I was being stitched up, my OB assured me that a vaginal birth would be very possible with the next baby.
Mommy to twin girls, Ashlyn & Fiona, born at 34 weeks due to vasa previa.
I don't know. I'd like to try for a VBAC so that I can experience labor (can't believe those words) and have an easier recovery. But, I'll probably wimp out and go for the c/s if they give me the option. At least I know what it's like.
