Yeah I know that almost no one on the bump is a fan of chains like this, but a friend of mine just did her son's 3 week pics there and also pics of her, her DH, and the baby and I thought they turned out fantastically. I was not planning on leaving work before the baby arrived, but then bedrest happened, and we 're having to to dip into the savings, so there goes our pricy professional photographer.
So it looks like the sitting fee is free and then you can order pics by the sheet for $18 or get a packaged deal (starts at $250 if you want the CD too).
Any experiences with them? I know each chain is a little different, but for what you paid, were you satisfied?
Re: Anyone use Picture People yet?
We did a few days ago and we loved it... pic below was from a sitting that had more really amazing photos!!!!
A side note though, bring your own props... theres are cheesy lol?
I took DD last Friday because I had the coupon for a free package. Now, maybe 6 weeks was just a bad age to try it (not a squishy, sleepy newborn, but not big enough to sit up, hold up head for long, etc) and I wasn't in the pictures, but they were pretty bad. They only showed me 4 proofs and the guy didn't even try to get me to buy any.
Now, it could have been the photographer or an off day or sonething as well. I will say that the guy who showed me the proofs offered to let us come back the next week to re-do them & said they would still honor the coupon (it expired the next day). I declined because it was difficult to take her alone and since DH works long hours, I would have had to go alone the next time as well and the picture that I chose is cute, just not wonderful.
If you haven't already, sign up on their site for email deals. I would consider going back when DD is a little older, but honestly, these pictures are so bad that it is comical.
I took DD there when she was 3 weeks old. They were great! I was very happy with what I paid and what I got.
Look on their website - there are always coupons on there!
