Report from BM visit & 3 month prof pics!

Hey ladies!  We got home from meeting our BM this morning (it was a 6 hour drive each direction for a 1ish hour meeting yesterday!).  All in all, the meeting went wonderful!  We got to meet her other two children (who are 6 and 3) and we now know exactly what DD will look like when she's 3 (she will look exactly like her sister--who do not share the same dad btw).  Anyways, we signed the open adoption papers but really the only expectation BM has is to receive pictures periodically.  No visits or anything.  She was really sweet and I think feels a lot more secure in her decision and we feel a lot better now meeting her and we now have pics to share with DD when she is older!

 We also got DD's 3 month pics done today and they turned out so wonderful!   The photog took pictures of me holding her hands and her feet and had made them into a collage with a verse that said "We hold their hands for a little while but they leave footprints in our hearts forever" (or something like that) so when we reviewed the pictures and I saw it, I lost it!  I mean I sobbed!  It all seems so real now!  This is MY daughter!!  Here are a couple of the wonderful shots:

    OH my gosh, she is just soooooo beautiful!! I am so so so so elated for you!

     

    So glad the meeting went well!

    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     OK - now I'm crying!  She is lovely and I'm so happy for you!
    2 years TTC with 5 losses, 1 year recovering, 6 months applying for adoption approval, and almost a year waiting for a placement. Then, a miracle BFP at age 36!
