Random moment from the other day:
My husband told me he is going to have to stop listening to the radio. Apparently the station he listens to has been playing Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin a lot. And the message of the song is just too much for him these days.
His dad was a less-than-perfect parent (WAY less than perfect) and although DH is nothing at all like him, I know he's afraid of repeating his father's sins. I have to say, I'm glad that he's so emotional about it. It makes it that much less likely that he's going to look back on his relationship with DS with regret.
Anyway, just thought I would share that bittersweet parenting moment.
