Any Hs with Couvade Syndrome?

I sometimes wonder if my H has a case of Couvade. The back aches can be explained away by his job, but he also has had food cravings, mood swings, and has "pregnancy dreams" almost every night just like I do - really weird vivid dreams about aliens and people from his past and whatnot. I think he even had a little nausea a couple of times when I was in first tri!

I don't think it's an attention-seeking thing in his case, bc he doesn't make a big deal out of it, just mentions this or that. I tease him, "I thought I was the one who was pregnant!" but it strikes me as kind of cool that he's so empathic.

I never heard the term "Couvade Syndrome" and had no clue what this post was about until I read the whole thing, lol.

Sounds like your DH has a case of it!  Mine has definately been more moodly - very irritable - but he's had a lot of stress with his job lately.  And he definately has had some "pregnancy brain" episodes.....or maybe that's due to his stress too....

Yes!  Mine has been moody, and even a little nauseous as well!  Weird... I read about in WTE, and it said that up to 85% of men experience some symptoms.  Crazy!  But sweet, I guess... : )

It's kinda a joke with us. he's the one with the food cravings, has gained weight pretty much all in his belly, has the headaches, and even the itching which is less common. oh, and i can't forget pg brain. He's a mess  Pretty much everything I haven't had. The other being, he's also had an epidurala and ultrasound years before I did from surgery he had. So he's well aquainted with being PG in a way.
