I can't quite believe it, but we're starting to look at getting DD a "real" bed. She's been trying to climb into her crib this week, and that means it's just a matter of time before she figures out how to climb out of it.
When the time comes, what do you plan to do? Will you use a toddler bed? Or will you transition directly to a single bed?
And where do you plan to get the bed? Aside from Ikea and Pottery Barn, I dcan't think of where else to look.
thanks
Re: Toddler bed first or transition right to single bed?
With DS we were given a plain white metal toddler bed that we used for at least a year. We still have it so we'll use it for DD too. Walmart and places of the like sell cute toddler beds. I know Walmart has cute princess ones (don't know what kind your looking for) and also has Car ones too.
**Edit for spelling**
We are going to get DD one of the beds they sell... It is a twin with rails that is low to the ground. It can be changed and will grow with her.

I haven't decided either ... but I THINK I want to do a Toddler bed, and then a FULL bed for him later on, that can double as a guest bed.
Once we know the sex of the next baby, I'll know what I want to do furniture-wise. If it's another boy, we'll get a full/twin bunk bed for Jack's room that can be used as a guest bed, and also beds for them both once DS2 moves out of the crib/nursery and they'll share a room. If it's a girl, we'll just do a regular full bed for Jack which can double as a guest bed.
That was confusing, sorry ... lol
