Great appt yesterday - finally!

We had a growth scan yesterday (34w5d) and everything went so well. He is measuring five weeks ahead (gulp - GD has never been a problem, he's just a really, really big baby) and already weighs 7lbs, 9oz! The doctor is super happy with how far I've come, and while he's normally fairly stoic, was incredibly kind and told me I should be "very proud" of keeping this baby in for so long.  That totally made me tear up. Who knew laying on the couch for 70+ days is "doing something?"

Anyways, the great news is that as of next Saturday (36w), I'm off all meds AND I'm off of bed rest. I can't wait! Our little guy *should* be joining us probably a week or two after. I can't believe this is all really coming together. 

So, just know it is possible! When I started BR at week 25, I was so depressed and sad. Now that we're almost at the end...well, the relief is worth the sacrifice. Big thanks to this board for all of the helpful, supportive women.  Hang in there, other BR gals!! :-)

YAY!!! for you!  Your post made me tear up!! I know it is easy to forget how important bed rest is and easier to just complain about how bad it sucks but your post was  a nice reminder!  Congrats on a great job!

I soooo cannot wait to post a message like this one day! I have been on bed rest since 22 weeks and it is easy to get down every once and a while!

Congratulations on such a great appointment and great news about your LO's size. That is so exciting!

It is so great to hear how worth it is to hang in there and how good things can come from BR. I am only 2 weeks into this and it seems so hard at times. Thanks for the great post.
