Were looking at the Munire Majestic and we got a price of 599.00 for it and was wondering if it was a good price or not.
Have you ever seen the Munire on sale they told me in the store that they never go on sale.
EDIT - I guess i should add that this crib goes from Crib to toddler bed to full size bed.

you and your DH must be really well off because that price is outrageous! I am thinking under 250.
JC Penny's is having a sale on cribs. I laughed b/c it said if you buy two or more it's even more discounted & thought to myself "why would you buy more than one" But I guess you would need to if you are having twins!! Duh..I'm not very smart today! Anyway, point is JC penny is having a good sale with Free shipping. Ours is $399
Our budget for the crib is under $300.
We spent 200 for the crib and 85 for the mattress. Both from wal-mart.com. Baby Mod crib (rated well in Baby Bargains) and Sealy Baby coil mattress.
Everyone has different priorities. If that is where you want to spend more, go for it. But if you aren't crazy about the crib, there are definitely less expensive options out there if you do some research.
We spent less on the crib, but were able to put the money saved toward recarpeting the nursery and a mural.
For DS we got a Bassett Baby solid oak convertible crib for $350 I think. And I thought that was pretty expensive enough.
This time around I just picked up a solid oak 'lifetime' crib on CL for $80. Steal of the century. See my post above.

We'll be getting this.
Munire is gorgeous. The crib I'm getting will be $499, a nice heirloom convertible, so I'm with you on spending the money to get what I want.?

Same here, except it was $99. We got the white one.
I think ours was similarly priced...we have a Munire as well (Essex), and it is beautiful...the thing to keep in mind is that DC will have this set of furniture for the rest of their lives (well, as long as they're living at home and/or want to keep it!). I think of the costly price tag as an investment since it's also a toddler bed and converts into a full sized bed!
I've never really seen Munire on sale, but maybe check on discontinuing styles..I bet you could score them at a discount...
Baby Italia Pinehurst Espresso--about $330.
I subscribe to the philosophy of buying things that will last till the kid is 18 and won't have to be replaced, because if you buy something cheap and then have to buy something else, like a bed or bigger dresser, then essentially you paid twice as much.
It took us a long time to decide and we looked at some pretty pricey cribs around $400-$500 but after lots of research and thinking we are getting the Davinci 4 in 1 Parker https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2932206
We are actually ordering it this week and it will be less than $300. The matching dresser/hutch we got was a bit of a splurge at $600 though since I know for sure she will be using that for a long time. We may not end up using the full size bed that the crib convert too because it may be too big for her room.
Good Luck in what you decide but make sure you do lots of research and googling to try and find it cheaper somewhere else.
We too are planning to get the white one.
