Grandma Update

While I was a sobbing hysterical mess for hours she was out buying a mini van for my twin sister whos car broke and she has 2 kids. It was supposed to be a surprise so she told NO ONE. HELLO almost 7 hours to buy a van. Damn old people.

  • Good to know that she is OK.  And what a blessing to your sister to have a grandma that can do that for her.  Hopefully she will at least let someone know that she is running errands or something after work so everyone will not worry the next time she is planning a surprise.

Ditto, this. I totally burst out laughing. That is such a grandma thing to do. So sweet but no concept that people might worry. I am guessing since she is independent enough to work and drive and buy a car by herself she figured no one would have any reason to worry... I'm glad she's ok!

Its not insensitive. lol. I just can't believe shes acting like its no big deal.

  • Thanks ladies. Shes a tough cookie, she had breast cancer 3 times and now has had them totally removed. Other then that shes fairly healthy and has her wits about her but I was afraid someone kidnapped her or something. She has worked at the same place in the govt for over 30 years and its not in the best place in annapolis. But I am glad she is better.
  • Good timing -- I just responded below a couple minutes ago and I was worried, so now I'm quickly relieved.  That's incredibly sweet, but she should have told!  I'm so sorry you went though that, but I hope your sister LOVES the mini van! :)
