BFF found out today that...

she's having twins.!!!!! and she's 18 weeks!

the crazy thing is that the only reason she found out is that something showed up as abnormal in her quad screen, so she went to have a detailed ultrasound. She's already had one external and one internal done, and heard the heartbeat at 2 or 3 visits. Is it just me, or is it odd that they didn't catch it sooner?Anyway, they weren't going to find out the gender, but given the change in circumstances, they looked today. One girl and one modest baby. They will have to wait another month to get a closer peek.

i don't think it's sunk in for her yet, but i'm so excited for some reason. (and glad it isn't me at the same time )

i'd promised to make her a newborn stash, so i'm really going to have to get busy somehow, which is going to be a challenge if DS's separation anxiety phase doesn't end soon. He won't let me 2 feet away without wailing...

How exciting! My BFF found out at 19 weeks too (her twins are 3yo now). She had an u/s at 5 weeks and there was just one sac, so they were super suprised. She heard the h/b, but didn't have any more u/s until the anatomy scan and never suspected anything.
